While considering Elith as one of several candidates, the deciding factors were Elith's deep expertise in generative AI — in particular its practical knowledge and implementation track record around LLMs and VLMs, and its specialized know-how in building datasets. We were also drawn to its credibility as a venture originating from the Matsuo Lab at the University of Tokyo, its reasonable pricing, and its concrete track record of technical support.

The first meeting with CEO Inoue left a strong impression. Where other companies tended to offer modest proposals along the lines of "we could probably manage this much," Elith came to us with very proactive and constructive proposals. In particular, the positive attitude of wanting to take on even technically difficult challenges or problems with few precedents — saying "we would love to take this on" — was a major deciding factor.

Even as new technology emerged almost daily, they consistently gave us concrete advice grounded in the most current knowledge.
