In this session, together with Takato Honda, CTO of Mellon Inc., he will discuss the theme "The Challenge of Bringing Research Technology to Real-World Deployment — The Reality of a Startup Starting from Predictive AI." They will speak from multiple angles about the process of bringing academia-born research results into society, the realities of building a business around predictive AI, and the possibilities and challenges faced by AI-native generation startups.

Takato Honda
Mellon Inc., Director & CTO
Earned a Ph.D. in Engineering from the Graduate School of Kumamoto University. After serving as a Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Research Fellow and a specially appointed assistant professor at the Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research, Osaka University, he joined the University of Tokyo-originated AI venture JDSC, where he experienced the company's IPO. He then co-founded Mellon Inc., leading technology strategy and AI product development. He has presented and won awards at international conferences such as KDD and ICDM, and holds numerous patents in Japan and abroad.
Koki Inoue Elith Inc., Representative Director, CEO & CTO
Earned a master's degree at the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST), researching materials exploration for quantum computers. While running the company, he is also a doctoral student at the Graduate School of Medicine, Tohoku University, conducting medical AI research in the field of medical physics. His research has been accepted and presented at AAPM, a top conference in medical physics. He drives the real-world deployment of AI on both the research and business fronts.
