Attorney 柴山 吉報, who was involved in establishing the certification framework, will explain the key points companies using AI should understand and the first steps toward building an AI governance structure.
Elith Inc. (“Elith”) will host a free online webinar titled “AI Governance C Certification: What You Need to Know Now — Key Points for Companies Using AI and the First Steps to Take” from 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
The webinar will feature attorney 柴山 吉報, who was involved in establishing the AI Governance C Certification framework and serves as a member of its Certification Committee. He will explain the background and purpose of the certification, its scope, and the key points companies should understand.
Elith will also discuss the challenges companies face in understanding and managing how AI is used in the workplace. The discussion will explore the role expected of third-party certification and the first steps companies should take to establish an AI governance framework.
Background
As the business use of generative AI and other AI services continues to expand, companies are increasingly expected to understand which AI tools are being used internally, how they are being managed, and to be prepared to explain these practices both inside and outside the organization when necessary.
In practice, however, many companies face challenges such as insufficient visibility into the AI tools being used and their purposes, unclear accountability and management structures, and uncertainty about how to translate issues involving information management, copyright, and output accuracy into internal rules.
C Certification is a third-party certification program that assesses the core AI governance framework companies should establish as a first step. This webinar will accurately explain the purpose, scope, and positioning of the program, while giving participants an opportunity to review their own AI usage and governance structures.
What the Webinar Will Cover
- Background and purpose of C Certification An explanation of why the certification was created and what it aims to achieve.
- Scope and positioning of C Certification A clear overview of what the certification assesses and what falls outside its scope.
- The “first steps” companies should take A discussion of the initial priorities companies should address, including understanding AI usage, clarifying responsible parties and organizational structures, and developing internal rules.
