Supporting development capability in the age of AI agents together with governance and compliance in one integrated approach
Elith Inc. (Headquarters: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Koki Inoue) is pleased to announce the establishment of "Elith AI Governance Lab," a specialized organization that ensures the safety and reliability of corporate AI adoption.
■ Background of the establishment
The corporate adoption of generative AI and AI agents is rapidly shifting from the proof-of-concept stage to production operation. At the same time, more and more companies are facing challenges in ensuring quality and managing risk due to the non-deterministic nature of AI, and how to balance development speed with safety is becoming a management issue.
Elith has to date developed the AI safety platform "GENFLUX," supported AI adoption across a wide range of industries including manufacturing, finance, and healthcare, and operated AI education and advisory businesses. Through this process, we have seen many cases where the companies most actively promoting AI adoption face the greatest challenges in establishing internal governance structures and compliance measures.
Elith's technical capabilities have also been recognized in a national project. In June 2026, a joint proposal with Chubu University, "Development of 'FinGuard,' an AI Guardrail Model Specialized for Financial Operations," was selected in the fourth round of "GENIAC," a project to strengthen generative AI development capability run by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and NEDO. Elith is working on developing a model that detects and blocks risks specific to the financial industry, such as personal information leaks, compliance violations, hallucinations, and prompt injection, as well as building "FinGuard-Bench," a safety benchmark specialized for the financial domain, accumulating expertise in the field of AI guardrails.
By systematizing this expertise, we have now established Elith AI Governance Lab as a specialized organization to help companies use AI both "safely and quickly."

Elith AI Governance Lab is an organization dedicated to supporting risk management, compliance, and quality assurance in corporate AI adoption. Centered on compliance with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's "AI Business Operator Guidelines," it provides end-to-end support from building an AI governance structure to operations and ensuring technical safety.

Provides end-to-end support, from detecting and blocking input content and DLP (data loss prevention) to audit logs and report output, achieving governance operations that don't stop at simply "creating rules"
- Quantitative evaluation of AI quality and safety GENFLUX's evaluation features automatically assess the response quality of AI agents and LLMs. Visualizes compliance status with security standards such as OWASP, and continuously monitors the quality and safety of AI systems using objective metrics through benchmark comparisons and report output. Going forward, we will also apply the expertise from "FinGuard," the financial-sector AI guardrail model developed under the fourth-round "GENIAC" project of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and NEDO, as an industry-specific risk detection method
- Improving literacy and organizational education Provides AI literacy training linked to JDLA certifications (G Certification, E Certification, etc.) and supports the development of guidelines for management and frontline staff
- Sharing practical knowledge Shares expertise on AI governance and compliance through seminars and external communication, contributing to raising standards across the industry as a whole

Now that AI agents are being incorporated into daily operations, companies need both "the ability to build quickly" and "a mechanism to keep operating safely." Elith has faced the difficulty of achieving both, through the development of the AI safety platform "GENFLUX" and AI adoption support across a wide range of industries. Elith AI Governance Lab is a base for systematizing the governance and compliance expertise we have built up, so that companies can become self-sufficient.
