Elith Inc. (Headquarters: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director & CEO: Koki Inoue; "Elith") is launching GENFLUX Governance, a tool that helps companies prepare for certification to ISO/IEC 42001, the international standard for AI management systems (AIMS), starting October 1, 2026.
Built on Elith's own experience of obtaining AIMS certification, GENFLUX Governance organizes the work companies need to do and the records they need to keep for AIMS certification into a single workflow. Beyond identifying AI systems, assessing risks and impacts, selecting controls and developing policies, it supports everything from running training and internal audits to preparing materials for the certification audit.

Background: turning AI governance from policy into practice
As the business use of generative AI expands, the Japanese government is encouraging companies to build and practice AI governance. Overseas, companies such as Microsoft and AWS have obtained ISO/IEC 42001 certification, and more organizations are demonstrating their AI governance through third-party certification.
Preparing for AIMS certification means carrying out risk assessments, policy development, training, internal audits and more, and organizing the records so they can be explained during the audit. However, the information and records needed tend to be scattered across multiple people and documents, which makes them burdensome to collect and manage.
GENFLUX Governance centralizes this work and information and makes clear what to do next. It connects everything from risk assessment through training and internal audits to organizing audit materials in a single workflow, reducing the burden on the people in charge and supporting certification preparation across the whole organization.
Key features
GENFLUX Governance is a service for the people leading AIMS certification efforts and for department heads and employees across the company. It addresses challenges such as not knowing where to start, information and records scattered across the company, and difficulty tracking progress across departments. Companies can carry out the entire process on a single service, from registering AI systems through risk and impact assessment, selecting controls, drafting policies, training and internal audits, audit preparation and ongoing operation. By linking the information and records from each step with reviews and approvals, it helps each person see and complete the tasks assigned to them.
1. AI-assisted risk and impact assessment
Based on the functions, purpose and data of each registered AI system, AI suggests candidate risks and impacts. Users review and revise them, then move on to deciding how to respond and selecting controls.

2. All-in-one support for certification preparation, from policies to training and internal audits
Answers about the company's structure, assessment methods and other matters are reflected in its policies, with support for approval, version control and export. Employee training and tests, internal audits and more can be carried out on the same service, and their results are recorded.
3. Smoother preparation and explanation for the certification audit
Approved policies and assessment and activity records can be reviewed together with their mapping to requirements and controls. Companies can explain their initiatives while showing the screen, reducing the effort of organizing materials and searching for evidence.

Strengths: consistent support from certification preparation to everyday AI operations
Policies, training, internal audits and audit preparation in one place
Drawing on Elith's own AIMS certification experience, GENFLUX Governance brings together not only drafting policies but also running and recording training and internal audits, approvals and preparing audit materials in a single workflow. It reduces the burden of managing separate documents for each step, and the information and records entered can be used both to develop policies and to explain them during the audit.
Combined with GENFLUX Security to support operations after certification
In addition to building a management framework and managing operational records with GENFLUX Governance, using it together with GENFLUX Security extends support to visualizing everyday generative AI use, warning about and controlling unapproved AI and the sending of confidential information, and recording usage logs. Rather than stopping at rules and policies, it covers how AI is actually used on the front line, providing consistent support from certification preparation through continued operation after certification.
Outlook: supporting SCS ★3 and ★4
Going forward, in addition to AIMS, GENFLUX Governance will help companies obtain ★3 and ★4 under the SCS evaluation system. For Japan's Security Measures Evaluation System for Strengthening Supply Chains (SCS evaluation system), it will help organize the status of compliance with requirements, revise policies and prepare self-assessment answers based on existing internal policies and activity records.
We will help companies turn their response to certifications and evaluations into real practice, not just paperwork.
Delivery model
GENFLUX Governance is provided as a cloud service (SaaS) that runs in a web browser. No dedicated software needs to be installed. Employees log in with their own accounts to their company's separate environment and use it according to their roles, such as person in charge, approver or trainee.
