The mission-critical security perspective required for physical AI

Elith Inc. (Headquarters: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director & CEO: Koki Inoue; hereinafter "Elith") announces that it will speak at the FY2026 3rd Lecture Meeting, "How Humanoids Are Opening Up the Future of the Next-Generation Mobility Industry," hosted by the Kanto Branch of the Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan (a public-interest incorporated association), to be held on August 20, 2026.
This lecture meeting will discuss new technology trends and the potential for real-world deployment in the next-generation mobility industry, under the theme "Latest Trends in Humanoids and Physical AI."
Elith is a company committed to AI research, development, and real-world deployment, and will speak on the use of humanoids in the mission-critical automotive and mobility domain, which involves human life and social infrastructure.
This talk will organize the series of safety assurance processes needed to guarantee safety and reliability, and introduce the key points companies need to grasp in order to move from proof-of-concept to real-world deployment.
Background to this talk
In recent years, advances in AI technologies such as generative AI have drawn growing attention to "physical AI," in which robots and mechanical systems autonomously perceive, judge, and act in the real world. In the automotive and mobility industry too, applications are expected in a wide range of areas, including autonomous driving, manufacturing automation, logistics, and maintenance and inspection.
At the same time, the automotive and mobility domain is mission-critical, involving human life and social infrastructure, and the real-world deployment of physical AI demands a high degree of safety and reliability. It is therefore important to organize a full safety assurance process — from designing risk scenarios based on international standards and regulatory trends, through simulation and real-device evaluation, fail-safes, and human intervention, to post-deployment monitoring and operational governance.
This talk uses humanoids as a case study to introduce the key points companies need to grasp in order to move from proof-of-concept to real-world deployment.
