— Explaining Traffic Risk Using LLMs with GIS Data and Street-View Images—
Considering traffic risk in driver-assistance systems and autonomous driving technology is important for preventing traffic accidents, and much of that traffic risk information is contained in image data. However, it is difficult to explain the traffic risk present in a driving scene from image information alone, and research in this area has not yet progressed sufficiently. In this study, we proposed a multimodal framework capable of explaining traffic risk. As a result, we were able to show that it is possible to generate captions that take traffic risk into account.
