We are pleased to announce that the paper "How to extend the dataset to account for traffic risk considering the surrounding environment," for which Elith's Shimomura served as lead author, has been accepted at "IEEE ITSC 2024 (27th IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems)," a leading international conference in the field of intelligent transportation systems.
This paper proposes a dataset extension method for more comprehensively evaluating traffic risk. Through data augmentation that takes the surrounding environment into account, this method precisely reflects risk factors that conventional approaches could not capture, aiming to develop AI models that contribute to improved safety.
